Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Lumiro (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you visit lumiro.com.au, buy from us or contact us (the “Services”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and other privacy laws that apply to you.

Information we collect

  • Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses.
  • Order information — the products you view, add to your bag, buy, return or exchange, and your order history.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Shopify and our payment providers; we do not store your full card details.
  • Account information — if you create an account, your login details and preferences.
  • Communications — messages you send us, such as customer service enquiries and styling-advice requests (including any room photos you choose to share).
  • Device and usage information — IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the Services, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we collect it

Directly from you (for example when you place an order, subscribe to our emails or contact us); automatically when you use the Services; and from service providers who help us run the Store, such as Shopify, payment processors, fulfilment partners and analytics or advertising platforms.

How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer service.
  • To send order updates and, if you've opted in, marketing emails about new collections and offers — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To personalise and improve the Services and show relevant advertising.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the Services secure, and comply with our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our Store, and other service providers who act on our behalf — including payment processors, fulfilment and logistics partners, carriers, email and customer-service tools, and analytics providers.
  • Advertising and marketing partners (such as Meta and Google) to measure and show ads. You can opt out of this use here.
  • Authorities or other parties where required by law, or in connection with a sale or restructure of our business.

We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers — including Shopify and our fulfilment partners — are located or store data outside Australia, including in Canada, the United States, the European Union and China. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Relationship with Shopify

Our Store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our Store and other merchants to provide certain features, and in those cases Shopify is responsible for that processing. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy, and exercise any rights you may have through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to keep your bag working, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and measure advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and the cookie banner on our Store. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of data sharing for targeted advertising.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information to us by email. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records).

Access, correction and your choices

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@lumiro.com.au. We may need to verify your identity first, and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, residents of the UK and European Economic Area may object to or restrict certain processing and withdraw consent.

Children

The Services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please email support@lumiro.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or your local data protection authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
