A graceful iron floor lamp that bounces its light rather than throwing it, washing a room in calm, indirect illumination.
We chose this lamp because indirect light is one of the most flattering ways to light a living space. Its iron body directs the beam so the glow reflects softly off nearby surfaces, giving even, glare-free ambience with real presence. At 165 cm tall with a 35 cm head, it has a bold, elegant profile, and the white or wood finish lets it suit a pale contemporary room or a warmer, natural one.
Indirect lighting works by reflection, so the colour of the surrounding walls and ceiling shapes the result: pale surfaces bounce more light and give a brighter room. A warm-white E27 globe (around 2700–3000K) gives the most relaxed effect for living rooms and bedrooms. Choose the AU plug option for Australian outlets.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.

The iron head directs its beam to bounce off nearby surfaces, filling the room with soft, glare-free indirect light.
A standard E26/E27 socket accepts a wide range of globes, so warmth and brightness can be tuned to the room.
A tall iron silhouette with a 35 cm head, finished in white or wood, gives a living room or bedroom a graceful vertical accent.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
