A solid timber column beneath a softly pleated shade: the retro table lamp, distilled to its calmest form.
We chose this lamp for its balance of simplicity and warmth. A solid wood cylindrical base, in walnut or natural wood colour, gives it a grounded, stable presence, while the pleated beige fabric shade softly diffuses the light into a serene, even glow. At 38 cm across and 52 cm tall, it has the generous proportions to anchor a bedside table, desk or reading corner, and its E26/E27 socket lets the light be tailored to the room.
Fit a warm-white E27 LED (2700K–3000K) to let the pleated fabric glow with a soft, amber warmth; the shade diffuses light both up and down for gentle ambient and reading light. Do not exceed the 40W maximum. At 52 cm tall the base of the shade sits close to eye level when seated in bed, keeping the bulb out of sight. Select the AU plug for Australian outlets.

Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
A cylindrical solid wood base in walnut or natural tone grounds this lamp with warmth and stability on a bedside or desk.
The beige pleated fabric shade softens an E27 bulb into an even, serene light ideal for reading corners and evening calm.
At 38 cm wide and 52 cm tall it has real presence, with an inline switch on the 150 cm cord for easy control.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |

| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
