A disc of natural travertine crowned with soft glass: wabi-sabi calm, brought to the ceiling of a hallway or entry.
We chose this light for the honesty of its materials. Travertine marble carries its own pitted, organic texture, so no two pieces read quite the same, while the soft glass shade turns the LED into a gentle, diffused glow. It pairs Scandinavian restraint with Japanese wabi-sabi warmth, and at 25 cm across and just 10 cm deep it sits neatly in corridors, entranceways and balconies, lighting an area of around 5 to 10 square metres.
The fitting takes a G9 LED, a compact capsule lamp; choose a warm white G9 to draw out the honey tones of the stone. A CRI of 80–90 renders colours naturally, which matters in an entry where finishes and artwork are first seen. With coverage of 5–10 m², one light suits a short hallway; space several along a longer corridor. This is a mains fitting and must be installed by a licensed electrician. Natural stone varies in tone and veining from piece to piece.

Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
A travertine marble body brings pitted, organic texture to the ceiling, so each piece carries its own subtle character.
The glass shade diffuses the G9 LED into gentle light, rendering colours naturally with a CRI of 80 to 90.
At 25 cm across and 10 cm deep, it lights around 5 to 10 square metres of hallway, entry or balcony.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
