A globe of milky opaline glass resting on veined marble: a compact 21 cm table lamp whose integrated LED glows at a touch.
We chose this lamp for its pairing of two classic materials. By day the veined marble base, in black, white or dark red, and the soft white opaline shade make a striking, sculptural contrast. After dark the opaline glass diffuses the integrated LED into an even, moonlike glow with no visible hot spot, ideal for bedside tables, reading nooks and living areas. A touch switch makes it effortless to use.
Warm light (3000K) is our recommendation for bedrooms and living areas, where the opaline glass turns it into a soft, restful glow; neutral (4000K) suits reading nooks; cool (6000K) is best for task use. The IP20 rating means this lamp is for dry indoor spaces only. As natural marble, each base will show its own unique veining.

Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
