A natural alabaster shade set on a slim brass body: the Seren sconce draws a calm vertical line of warm, stone-filtered light.
We chose the Seren for its restraint and its materials. A shade of natural alabaster stone sits on a sleek brass body, and when lit the stone filters the LED into a warm, ambient glow that reveals its natural texture. At 30 cm tall and 13 cm deep it is compact enough for hallways and staircases, yet refined enough to frame a bed or feature wall in contemporary, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors.
The alabaster diffuses the LED into a soft, warm wash, so this is an ambient and accent light rather than a task light. On stairs, space fittings evenly at a consistent height above the treads; beside a bed, mount so the shade sits just above eye level when sitting up. Any fixed wiring must be installed by a licensed electrician.

A natural alabaster shade softens the LED into a warm, textured glow that reveals the character of the stone.
A sleek brass body grounds the translucent stone for a calm, premium presence on minimalist walls.
At 30 cm tall and 13 cm deep, it fits staircases, hallways and bedsides without crowding the space.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
