A floating black aluminium dial set over abstract printed art, haloed by hidden LED light: a timepiece that doubles as a softly glowing artwork.
We chose this clock for the way it layers art, time and light. The open aluminium dial, with metal cut-out numerals and bar hands, floats on hidden brackets above a richly printed abstract background, and concealed LEDs cast a soft halo from its edges. It is battery operated, so it hangs anywhere without wiring, and comes in three art styles and two sizes for living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and studies.
The LED halo is an accent glow rather than room lighting, lovely in a dimly lit living room or hallway in the evening. Because it is battery operated, no electrician or power point is needed, so it can hang exactly where it looks best. Choose the 50 cm size above a console or in a hallway, and the 59.9 cm size as a feature on a larger living or dining room wall.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.

A black aluminium dial with cut-out numerals floats above abstract printed art, creating a layered, three-dimensional piece.
Hidden LEDs glow from behind the dial, casting a warm halo that turns the clock into ambient wall art.
Battery operated with no wiring, in 50 cm or 59.9 cm sizes and three art styles to suit the room.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
