Genuine alabaster carved into opposing curves that meet at a softly pinched waist, lit from within by a concealed LED.
We chose this sconce for its form and its honesty of material. The alabaster body is carved into opposing internal curves that meet at the centre, giving an elongated profile with a softly pinched waist. When lit, the integrated LED shines through the natural stone, revealing veining, clouding and mineral tone in a soft, diffused glow, with every piece individual. The narrow 6.5 cm profile adds vertical presence without projecting heavily; the 35 cm version suits bedsides and corridors, while the taller versions make a stronger architectural statement in living areas and entries. Metal detailing comes in gold, black or nickel, with white or brown alabaster.
Warm 3000K light is the natural partner for alabaster, drawing out its honeyed and creamy tones; 4000K neutral and 6000K cool are also listed. The dimmable version requires a compatible TRIAC dimmer and is ideal for evening ambience. Rated IP20, it is for indoor use only. Plan the wall junction box to align with the centre of the sconce, as the electrical connection is centred behind the fixture. This is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a licensed electrician.
The electrical connection is positioned at the centre of the fixture, so the wall junction box should be planned to align with the centre of the sconce rather than its upper or lower section. Discreet securing screws on the horizontal top and bottom surfaces hold the alabaster housing to the internal metal structure, keeping them largely concealed from normal viewing. Professional installation by a licensed electrician is required.
Alabaster is a natural stone. Veining, translucency, clouding, colour concentration and mineral markings will vary from piece to piece, so each installed sconce will have its own individual appearance.

Opposing carved curves meet at a softly pinched centre, breaking the linear silhouette into a sculpture that holds the eye even unlit.
Real carved alabaster, not resin or acrylic, glows from the integrated LED to reveal clouding, veining and mineral tone.
Choose 35 cm for bedsides, 60 cm for entries or 90 cm for grand walls, all just 6.5 by 8 cm in section.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
