Light and order in one tall gesture: an iron coat stand crowned with a soft white shade, anchored on marble.
We chose this piece for entryways, bedrooms and studios where a lamp and a coat stand would otherwise compete for space. The iron frame offers hooks for coats, bags and scarves, while the white shade casts a calm, welcoming glow at the door. A marble base keeps it steady, and the black or white body lets it sit quietly in a light scheme or stand out as a graphic accent.
In an entry, a warm-white globe (around 2700–3000K) gives a welcoming first impression; in a bedroom it keeps the evening relaxed. Keep to the 40W maximum and distribute heavier coats evenly across the hooks so the lamp stays balanced on its marble base. Choose the AU plug option for Australian outlets.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.
Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
Iron hooks for coats, bags and scarves sit beneath a soft white shade, combining two pieces in one 160 cm footprint.
A marble base and iron frame weighing about 7 kg keep the lamp steady even with coats hung on the hooks.
Fit a warm-white E26 or E27 globe of up to 40W for a calm, inviting light at the front door.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
