A compact swing arm sconce pairing brass with matte black, offered with a button on the fitting or control from your wall switch.
We selected this sconce for its compact, practical character. The adjustable arm swings to direct light where it is wanted, and the small 6 by 12 cm shade keeps the profile neat beside a bed, in a hallway or over a reading chair. Brass against matte black gives a crisp industrial accent. Choose the button-switch version for control at the fitting, or the wall-switch version to run it from an existing switch, in gold or black.
The compact shade suits a warm-white LED globe of 2700K to 3000K, focusing a comfortable pool of light for reading. The button-switch version is ideal beside a bed where you want control without reaching for a wall switch. It is for indoor use and, as a hardwired fitting, must be installed by a licensed electrician.

A crisp industrial pairing of brass and matte black, offered in gold or black finishes to suit the room.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
