Two independently adjustable heads on a clean architectural arm, giving focused reading light and a soft wall wash from one fitting.
We chose this double sconce for its versatility. Each head can be directed on its own, so one can be angled down over a reading chair while the other lifts light onto the wall, or both can be spread for broader coverage. Its streamlined metal construction frees floor and bedside space, and it comes in old gold, nickel or black to suit modern, minimalist and contemporary interiors.
For reading, mount the sconce so the heads sit slightly above shoulder height when seated and angle one head down onto the page; the second head can be turned towards the wall for gentle ambient fill. Choose warm-white LED lamps for bedrooms and living areas. Assembly is required, and as a hardwired fitting it must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.
Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
Each head angles separately, so one can light a book while the other washes the wall, offering more flexibility than a single sconce.
Hardwired installation leaves no visible power cords, giving bedrooms and living rooms a clean, architectural wall-mounted finish.
Old gold, nickel or black metalwork lets the sconce match tapware, hardware and furniture across contemporary and minimalist interiors.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
