A glass globe held on a fine metal arm: a minimalist silhouette that glows warmly and holds its own even when switched off.
We chose this sconce for its clarity of form. A single globe of glass on slender metal detailing, 15 cm across and 60 cm tall, gives a wall a quiet, sculptural accent. It is offered in a stand style, with the globe sitting upright, or a drop style, with the globe suspended, and in clear, amber or grey glass, each with warm white 3000K light. It suits bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms equally well.
Warm white 3000K is the tone we recommend for bedrooms and dining rooms, where a flattering, relaxed light matters. Amber glass deepens that warmth further, almost to candlelight; grey glass reduces brightness for a moodier effect, so choose clear glass where more light is needed. Mount a pair either side of a bed or sideboard for balance. As a mains-powered fitting, installation should be carried out by a licensed electrician.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.
Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
A glass globe on slim metal detailing creates a striking 60 cm tall profile that holds its presence whether lit or off.
Choose the stand style with the globe raised or the drop style with it hanging, to suit a bedhead, hallway or dining wall.
Clear glass shows a crisp glow, amber warms the room like candlelight and grey softens the light for a moody, tailored feel.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
