A softly tinted glass globe resting against a scalloped metal backplate, equally at home on the wall or the ceiling.
We chose this light for the charm of its details. A smooth glass globe, in pink, white or beige, sits against a sculpted scalloped backplate in gold or chrome that remains visible from the side, giving far more character than an ordinary globe sconce. When lit, the glass diffuses the bulb into a soft, even glow. At 20 cm across it suits bedrooms, hallways, entryways and living spaces, and its convertible construction means it can also be installed as a compact ceiling light.
An E26/E27 bulb is required and is not included (E27 is the Australian standard). We recommend a warm 2700K LED or filament-style bulb for a softer, warmer glow through the tinted glass; note that the glass colours can look different lit versus unlit, especially with warm bulbs. Rated IP20, it is for indoor, dry locations only. Control from a standard wall switch. This is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
A softly rounded globe in pink, white or beige glass diffuses the bulb into a smooth glow, each tint shifting the mood of the room.
A sculpted, scalloped plate in gold or chrome peeks out around the globe, adding depth and detail rarely seen on globe sconces.
Convertible construction lets this 20 cm fitting serve as a wall sconce or compact ceiling light, keeping one look throughout a home.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
