A milky opaline glass shade on a slender gold stem: the softest kind of ambient light, equally at home in a classic or contemporary room.
We chose this lamp for the particular quality of opaline glass, which glows evenly from within rather than throwing hard light. Lit by a warm built-in LED, the 33 cm white shade becomes a luminous orb that softens a living room corner, bedroom or hallway, while the gold metal stem adds a fine, jewellery-like line. At 150 cm it sits comfortably beside a sofa or armchair, and it is offered with AU, US, UK and EU plug options.
Opaline glass diffuses light in every direction, so this lamp is best used for ambient light rather than focused reading. The warm-white LED keeps the glow relaxed and flattering in the evening. Place it where the glowing shade can be seen, such as a corner or beside a sofa, and choose the AU plug option for Australian outlets.

Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
