A slender rectangle of metal drawn in light: an open-frame pendant that uses negative space to give an island presence without weight.
We chose this pendant for its architectural restraint. The elongated open frame frames air rather than mass, so it defines the space above an island or table without blocking sightlines, and the integrated LED behind a smooth white diffuser traces the frame in a continuous line of warm 3000K light. Black gives a sharp, graphic outline; gold the same form with warmth. Lengths of 80, 100 and 120 cm suit compact tables through to substantial islands, in a standard warm or a Triac-dimmable warm version.
Warm white at approximately 3000K suits kitchens and dining rooms, flattering timber, stone and food. The standard Warm Light version is for simple on/off operation; choose the Triac Dimmable Warm Light version, with a compatible Triac wall dimmer, if you want to lower the light for dining. Select a length a little shorter than the surface below and hang it around 75–85 cm above. It is rated IP20 for indoor use and, as a hardwired integrated LED fitting, must be installed by a licensed electrician.
The 80 cm version offers a compact architectural proportion for smaller islands, dining tables and focused installations. The 120 cm version extends the linear composition across a wider area and is particularly effective above longer dining tables or substantial kitchen islands. The suspension cables adjust during installation so the fixture sits at the right height for the ceiling and furniture below.

An open metal frame defines the space above an island using negative space, leaving sightlines clear across the kitchen.
The integrated LED glows evenly behind a white silica-gel diffuser in warm 3000K, with no exposed globes.
Specify 80, 100 or 120 cm in black or gold, in standard warm or Triac-dimmable warm light.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
