A classic lantern silhouette in aluminium and glass, bringing traditional warmth to porches, patios and courtyard walls.
We chose this lantern for its enduring form. The aluminium frame and glass panels recall a traditional carriage lamp, finished in black for a crisp heritage look or bronze for a softer, aged warmth. It takes a standard E27 bulb for a warm, welcoming glow, and its IP65 rating means it is made to stay outdoors through all seasons. Two sizes, 22 x 29 cm and 28.5 x 38 cm, suit everything from a corridor or balcony to the front door of a villa.
A warm white E27 LED bulb (2700K to 3000K) suits the traditional character of the lantern and is gentle on garden planting and neighbours. Choose a clear filament bulb to show through the glass as a feature, or a frosted bulb for a softer glow. IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets. Use the smaller 22 x 29 cm size beside standard doors and in corridors, and the 28.5 x 38 cm size for larger entrances. It is hardwired and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
