A tapered iron pyramid set off-centre beneath a soft linen drum: angular and gentle at once.
We chose this lamp for its bold, sculptural contrast. A tapered pyramid of iron gives a strong, angular silhouette, while the beige linen drum shade, placed asymmetrically above it, softens and filters the light. The result is a piece that reads as sculpture by day and a warm lantern by night. In black and white, at 45 cm across and 162 cm tall, it suits living rooms, bedrooms and offices.
The linen drum diffuses light evenly in all directions, so this lamp works as ambient light for a living room or bedroom corner. It takes two G9 bulbs (not included); choose warm-white G9 LEDs (2700K–3000K) for a soft, residential glow and to keep the shade cool. Select the AU plug for Australian outlets.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.
Assessed by the Lumiro lighting studio for its materials, its craftsmanship and the quality of its light.
A tapered iron pyramid beneath a beige linen drum creates a sculptural contrast of hard geometry and gentle texture.
The asymmetrically placed shade gives this 162 cm lamp an unexpected, gallery-like presence in living rooms and offices.
Two G9 sockets behind the linen drum spread warm ambient light evenly into a bedroom or living room corner.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
