A broad painted-iron dome beneath a softly rounded cap, in your own pairing of colours — Bauhaus playfulness with Scandinavian restraint.
We chose this pendant because it lets colour be a design decision. The base and lampshade are chosen independently — white, black, pink, red or green above; cream, pink, red or black below — for tonal calm or deliberate contrast against cabinetry and finishes. At 33 cm across, the iron dome defines an island, breakfast bar or dining setting without overwhelming it, and directs much of its light down onto the surface below. Hang one as a focal point or space several evenly along a counter.
An opaque iron dome makes this a true task pendant — most of the light falls on the bench or table. A warm white bulb around 3000K gives a softer residential atmosphere; a neutral 4000K bulb suits a working kitchen. Dimming needs both a dimmable E26/E27 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer. Hang the rim roughly 75–85 cm above a bench for good light without glare. As a hardwired fitting it must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Hardwired fixtures must be installed by a licensed electrician. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid chemical cleaners on metal finishes and fabric shades.

Choose base and shade colours independently, from tonal cream and white to bold red, green or pink contrasts.
The opaque 33 cm iron dome sends most of its light down onto the bench, ideal over islands, breakfast bars and tables.
The E26/E27 fitting lets you set warmth, brightness and dimming through the bulb rather than a fixed integrated LED.
Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
