A turned wooden cone with rich natural grain and a brushed brass collar, directing a soft, focused glow downward in true mid-century spirit.
We chose this semi-flush light for its sculptural simplicity. The conical wood shade, in a natural wood or deeper walnut tone, shows a rich grain, while brushed brass detailing adds a refined accent. Light is directed downward in a soft, focused pool, ideal where ceilings are lower. At 17 cm across and 22 cm high, it suits hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and entryways, used singly or in a row.
The fitting takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb, supplied. Because the cone directs light downward, a warm white (2700–3000K) LED creates a focused, intimate pool; an Edison-style filament lamp adds a vintage glow. Space several 1–1.5 m apart along a hallway for an even rhythm. It works with a standard wall switch (not included). IP20 rated, so for dry indoor areas only. This is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
