A pagoda-inspired octagonal lantern with 360-degree clear glass, in straight or gracefully curved form, black or bronze.
We chose this pillar light for its refined, classic architecture. The octagonal frame comes in a straight profile or a curved, pagoda-like silhouette, and its 360-degree clear glass lets light spill evenly in every direction across courtyards, gardens and lawns. The die-cast aluminium body has multiple layers of baked paint for corrosion and rust resistance, and is finished in black or bronze. The solar version includes a remote for switching colour temperature; a hardwired version is also offered.
Use 3000K warm white for a classic lantern glow, 4500K neutral for balance and 6000K bright white for maximum visibility. The 360-degree glass makes this an excellent all-round light for the centre of a courtyard pillar. IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. The solar version needs good direct sun for most of the day; the hardwired version must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Metal, glass and fabric chosen for how they age and how they catch the light — never flimsy, never plasticky.
Thoughtful designs spread light gently and evenly instead of throwing glare — kinder to eyes, faces and surroundings.
Warm colour temperatures bring out the true tones of skin, timber, stone and greenery — the difference you notice every evening.
Whatever you are lighting — a dining table, a hallway, a front entry or a garden path — a few simple proportions make the difference between a light that feels considered and one that feels lost. Use these as a starting point, and always check the dimensions in the product details.
| Light | Size & position | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pendants over a table or island | About ½–⅔ the table width; 75–85 cm above the surface | Over an island, allow roughly 60–75 cm between pendants |
| Chandeliers & ceiling lights | At least 210 cm clear above walkways | Over a dining table, choose around 30 cm narrower than the table |
| Interior wall sconces | Centre roughly 150–170 cm from the floor | Space 2–3 m apart along a hallway or wall |
| Bathroom & vanity lights | Either side of the mirror at eye level, or 190–200 cm above the floor | Choose IP44 or higher near water |
| Outdoor wall & entry lights | Fixture about ¼–⅓ the height of the door | Mount just above eye level; IP44+ for exposed walls |
| Path, garden & post lights | Space roughly 1.8–2.5 m apart | Stagger either side of a path for a softer, natural look |
| Floor & table lamps | Bottom of the shade near eye level when seated | Place slightly behind the shoulder for reading |
